New Starter Checklist

In order to feel free to explore and experiment with all kinds of materials, including messy ones, it is best to send your child dressed in clothes which are easily washed and not too new. We do have uniforms available, but this is not compulsory. Sweatshirts, t-shirts and fleeces in the red and white Scarning Pre School uniform colours are available to be purchased through Birds of Dereham.

What To Pack?

• A backpack with their name clearly visible.
• The backpack should contain 2 changes of clothes, including underwear and socks. Please remember to update the spare clothing throughout the year so they are weather appropriate. If your child is in the process of toilet training, please pack some extra clothes just in case.
• If your child wears nappies, please provide sufficient nappies for their session and a pack of named wipes.
• Nappy cream (if required we will need you to fill out and sign a short form before we are able to apply).
• A named water bottle. (Please only send water in the bottles. Juice is allowed as part of their lunch if desired).
• Weather dependent items such as wellies, hats, scarves, sun hats etc. Each child will also need a bottle of named sun cream to be left at Pre School.
